Exercises To Calm Your Anxious Thoughts
Slow it down
Whether you are new to tech or a seasoned professional at one point you may have suffered from imposter syndrome that shot your anxiety through the roof. Phrases like, “Am i qualified to do this", “Why don’t I understand what I am to do”, “Why was I chosen for this position”, “Can I do this”,….have popped up in many people minds as they enter the tech field and those who have been in it for awhile. We all have been there but you must understand that if your employer did not see worth or value in you, you would not be in that position… or if that idea didn’t come from you it would have never came to you to do. Tech careers can be scary and challenging because it s high in demand field and everyone is looking for high performers from the jump.
You can relieve your anxiety by understanding you can learn how to do what you are supposed to do, ask questions, build a network of others who have been where you are and BREATHE! Being anxious to get the project done first with no questions asked is a huge problem… many people do not want to seem incompetent therefore they do not ask questions. Let me tell you ask those questions for your understanding and to complete your project satisfactorily and within a real time frame.
